Refund, Cancellation & Terms & Conditions Policy
Effective Date: 28 March 2025
- Introduction
ATA International provides specialised medical training to professionals. This policy governs refunds, cancellations, and general terms related to course applications. It aligns with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.
- Course Fees & Payment Terms
- Course fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the scheduled training .
- Course materials/manuals will only be issued after full payment has been received.
- ATA International reserves the right to adjust course fees without prior notice being given to the customer.
Any additional courier or shipping costs for manuals/materials are the customer’s responsibility.
- Cancellations & Refunds
3.1. Cancellations by the Customer
- If the customer wishes to cancel the course booking and such cancellation is given more than 4 weeks before the course start date: the customer will receive a 75% refund of the course fee less any non-refundable charges such as the costs for the manuals/materials for the course which has already been issued.
- If the customer wishes to cancel the course booking and such cancellation is given less than 4 weeks before the course start date: the customer will receive no refund.
3.2. Postponements
- If a request for a postponement is given more than 4 weeks before the course start date: such postponement will be allowed, subject to a R1,000.00 fee being charged.
- If a request for a postponement is given less than 4 weeks before the course start date: such postponement will be allowed, subject to a R1,650.00 fee being charged.
- Only one postponement is allowed per course booking .
3.3. Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable Cases
- A refund will not be given for the following reasons: non-attendance, late arrival, or failure to complete the course.
- Course fees are non-transferable to another course or individual unless pre-approved.
- Digital course materials are non-refundable once they are issued.
- If a student fails an assessment, re-exam fees may apply.
3.4. Cancellations by ATA International
- If a course is cancelled by ATA International, customers will receive a full refund or receive the option to reschedule the course at no additional cost.
3.5 Standard of the Course training
If the training service does not meet the standard as advertised or agreed upon the customer is entitled to a refund or to be offered a rescheduled training session if one of the following reasons materialise: the trainer is unqualified; the course content does not meet the advertised syllabus or standard and/or if the course is cancelled by ATA International with no alternative dates given to reschedule the training.
- Force Majeure
ATA International will not be held liable for any failure to provide training or issue refunds due to reasons beyond its control, such as:
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics
- Government imposed travel restrictions
Any other events outside of its reasonable control
- Attendance & Certification Requirements
- 100% attendance is required to complete the course.
- Participants must meet all course requirements and successfully complete the assessments to receive certification.
ATA International reserves the right to withhold certificates until all fees are settled.
- Liability & Disclaimer
- ATA International and/or its officers and/or its employees and/or its trainers and/or agents are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during training.
- It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they meet the course prerequisites before booking.
ATA International reserves the right to refuse training to individuals who do not meet the necessary qualifications.
- Refund Process
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected], a response will be sent within 7 business days from date of receipt of the request.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days via the original payment method.
- ATA International reserves the right to deduct costs for course materials before issuing any refunds.
