It is with great pride that ATA International Holdings announces the successful certification of ISO 9001:2015. Our journey to certification over the last 18 months has been an immense under taking by our team with many hours spent developing a Quality Management System (QMS) that integrates with our business.
It was the strategic decision from our Directors, Trevor Justus and Andre Lotz, to develop a QMS as a way to further commit ourselves, our staff, partners and suppliers to Quality and Customer Satisfaction. The implementation of our processes has already yielded significant improvements in delivering our services to our clients. Although we operate within complex environments across Africa, our internal and interrelated processes are clearly defined with the necessary controls and risk mitigation strategies in place. This allows us to simplify service delivery while focusing on customer satisfaction and process improvements.
As our company continues to grow, the greater the need becomes to have certain checks and balances in place. These checks and balances allow us to expand further into the global market by following International Standards which assists in maintaining consistency and quality.
So what is ISO Certification?
ISO refers to the International Organization for Standardization. This organization is responsible for the development of the different standards, however, they are not responsible for certification. Certification is handled by third-party organizations, such as DQS. Certification is awarded once an Auditor has reviewed the QMS. In order to maintain certification a Process Audit is required on an annual basis.
The are many different classifications of ISO, depending on industries. The 9001 classification defines the criteria for meeting a number of quality management principles, which helps organizations be more efficient and improve customer satisfaction.
What does the Certification mean for our external stakeholders, clients and partners?
In short it means that our organization meets the designated requirements under ISO 9001. The QMS that has been implemented is both appropriate and effective while allowing the organization to identify areas for improvement.
